Our scope of work included all services from EXW Duisburg up to CPT Dar es Salaam. The pick-up of the goods were effected on August 30, 2016 with onforwarding flight, booked on Allied Air from Liege on September 01, 2016.

Hansa Meyer Global had been nominated to fly 700 t of power plant equipment from FCA Hamburg and Leipzig to CFR Cairo airport. 

The cargo originated from various European countries, f.e. Germany, the Czech Republic and Poland.

Initially the cargo was planned as sea freight shipment. The EPC Contractor decided on short notice to change to air freight transport due to the urgency resulting from the Egyptian president to set up new power plants in the country within a short period of time.

In total eleven Antonov AN124 and two Boeing 747 were chartered by Hansa Meyer Global. All shipments have been realized within 3 weeks on very short notice.
