Job description:

Two transformer 843 x 358 x 522 cm weighing 199 t each.

The transformer arrived at Adabija Port on MV “Wilma” early January, 2006. After discharging the transformer were stored onto concrete blocks inside Adabija Port.

Two 301 t generators 1213 x 408 x 512 cm each and two 289 t gasturbines 1093 x 520 x 486 cm each had to be transported by using a 1 x 16 x 3 hydraulic-trailer.

The Kureimat job site is 274 km away from Adabija port.

Volume: 7,000 frt

Job description:

Hansa Meyer Global Transport China was awarded to deliver 10 sets of transformers from TBEA to Egypt for 6th of October 500/220KV GIS Substation. Shipping term is DAP up to final site with setting on foundation for the main bodies.

The hard point is to push consignee speed up the import duty payment in Egypt. Finally we successfully delivered all the cargo to site without any damage.

Total Project volume more than 7000FRT, including max u/w man body 151tons.

Volume: 6,000 frt

Job description:

2 x 300 t generators   1214 x 409 x 437 cm each and
2 x 296 t gas turbines 1093 x 520 x 486 cm

to be transported by using 1 x 16 x 3 hydraulic trailer.

Substantial civil works were required because of a number of bridges en route with insufficient air clearance. Certain excavation works under the Fasrkor Bridge (height 6.0 m) were done to obtain an air clearance of 6.5 m. At Sherbeen Bridge (height 5.0 m) a bypass was built. The pedestrian bridge was jacked up to provide sufficient clearance for the cargo and trailer.

The Talkha job site is 61.5 km away from Damietta port.

Cargo: Cement Plant

Volume: 6,500 frt

Job description:

General and containerized cargo as well as ODC (Over Dimensional Cargo) and heavy pieces up to 96 t from several suppliers in Europe for shipment to Alexandria.

The job site is located 530 km from Alexandria south of El Arish close to Egyptian boarders with Gaza Strip.

A special ferry was used to take the heavy units and to cross the Suez Canal from west to east.
