Case Study #4:

North America work impressions "Mega Drum"

Job description:

Superheavy MEGA Drum

Hansa Meyer was the preferred heavy haul company selected to rig and transport the HP Fuel Gas Mixing Drum for our client. It was the largest component they’ve ever fabricated. With over 1,000,000 lbs. on the road, our initial concept utilizing dual lane Goldhofer alone would not have worked. Therefore, with the collective efforts and ingenuity of our engineering team, our fab shop, field supervisors and the bridge engineer, we custom-designed a transporter utilizing a flexible dolly outrigger system which worked in tandem with our Goldhofer SL trailers and allowed us to change the width based upon the bridge width and therefore maximize the weight distribution. All engineering, design and fabrication was done in house. The transport was executed precisely and without issues. #TEAMBLUE #Goldhofer #HollandDollies #SAFETY1st
