Job description:
We have been nominated to transport 2 crates with total 29 tons from FCA Muttenz, CH up to CPT AUH Airport.
The cargo as loaded from Supplier would have necessitated an AN124 Charter. Once cargo was received in our FRA warehouse we rebuilt the crating in close coordination with Etihad Cargo so that cargo would fit into a B777F, thereby opening up scheduled flights as a transport option.
Through our creative solution we were able to slash transport costs by 5/6s compared to a Charter.
