Siemens Project ‘Landivisiau’
As part of the Siemens Landivisiau project, which was awarded to Hansa Meyer Global in February 2020, we recently handled the shipment and onshore transportation of a 405 tons Generator, a 317 tons Gas Turbine and of a 183 tons E-Type Turbine from Rotterdam, The Netherlands to jobsite Landivisiau, France via port of Brest, France.
The Generator and Turbines will be installed at a newly constructed combined power cycle plant in Brittany, western France. With an installed capacity of 446 megawatts, the power plant will help to reliably cover Brittany’s growing demand for electricity. The commissioning of the power plant is scheduled for the second half of 2021.
For this challenging project Hansa Meyer Global will in total transport about 33,000 FRT of different cargoes (including 19 heavy-lift units up to 405 tons unit weight) from global origins to jobsite Landivisiau, France.
