Hansa Meyer Global has been nominated to fly 700 t of power plant equipment from FCA Hamburg, Germany and Leipzig, Germany to CFR Cairo Airport, Egypt.
The cargo originated from various European countries, e.g. Germany, the Czech Republic and Poland.
Initially the cargo was planned as sea freight shipment. The EPC Contractor decided on short notice to change to air freight transport due to the urgency resulting from the Egyptian president to set up new power plants in the country within a short period of time.
In total eleven (11) Antonov AN124 and two (2) Boeing 747 were chartered by Hansa Meyer Global. All shipments have been realized within three (3) weeks on very short notice.
