Job description:

The equipment was intended  to modernize the Benghazi Plant, Line III.
Suppliers from Egypt were Energya Steel, ASEC Automation, and El Sewedy Cables.

HMGT delivered the cargo on behalf of the Egyptian suppliers from EXW up to CFR Benghazi, Libya.

Destination: Zawia/ Benghazi/ Ras Lanuf, Libya

Cargo: Transformers

Volume: 9,500 frt

Job description:

Hansa Meyer Global Transport was awarded a contract to ship

6 transformers – 89.5 t, and

3 transformers with 59 t unit weight

for 3 x 220 KV substations in Zawia, Benghazi and Ras Lanuf (all in Libya).

The cargo originated from Bremen (Germany), Antwerp (Belgium) and Koper (Slowenia).

Installation of the transformer onto the foundation in Zawia was done by means of a 180 t mobile crane.
